President's Message

This election cycle is historic, and no matter the outcome we will have seen and been part of an election like no other.

I would like to share with you some points to remember on election day.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away men's
initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they
could and should do for themselves. ---

The Sandpiper Republican Women, chartered in

1994 as a member of the Texas Federation of

Republican Women, is an organization of

dedicated, determined, and decisive women who

work hard to advance Republican causes and

have a lot of fun doing it. We "woman" the

phone banks, help raise money for our

candidates, and work the precincts. We don't just

"meet and eat". We're the "go to gals" when

there's a job to be done. If you would like to be

in on shaping the politics of our city, county,

state and nation, join us!

We meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 11:45 am at the Galveston Country Club, 14228 Stewart Road, Galveston, Texas. Our speakers include elected

officials, candidates, government agency heads, and

political activists.

Guests are welcome. Lunch is $15.00 and please make
